Day 2 out at sea

I stayed up entirely too late last night, but woke up just in time for the breakfast buffet. I am talking about 4 pancakes, sausage, bacon, eggs, and potatoes. For some reason my appetite has doubled while on the cruise. By this time the ship was stopped just outside our first stop Coco Cay. After my hefty breakfast I put on my shorts, grabbed my towel, and went to shore. So The Music Boat has its own private island called Coco Cay that was just for us for the day. The second I stepped on shore I realized I should have brought sunglasses. The sun was blinding! So I went and checked out the shopping village to look for a pair. I found the perfect sunglasses. Man did I look cool. But they only took cash and there was no ATM machines. Who brings cash to a beach? So I had to suffer (on an island in the Bahamas while on a cruise. Feel bad for me). You want to know what I did??? I found a beach chair under the shade of a palm tree facing the ocean and read a book for several hours. It was nice. The water out there was such a deep blue color and very warm. It was so clear you could see the bottom. They even had a nice lunch out on the island for all the cruisers. I grabbed a cheese burger and some strawberry ice cream. By this time I was tired and ready for nap.

I got to meet the captain of the ship today! Captain Shell. What a great guy. He let me come up to the bridge and take the ship out for a spin. I think we are going to keep in touch and do some sailing. lol. Tonight the dress for dinner was formal. I ended up getting two separate dinners (beef and chicken) and three deserts! Yes, you can do that on a cruise. No charge! My kind of place. Music Boat 2010 here I come! Entertainment tonight started off with new group 33 Miles. This was my first time hearing this group and I was very impressed. They had a little country vibe to their worship music. Very friendly guys as well. Up next was Jars of Clay. They played two new songs from their newly released album “The Long Fall Down to Earth”. Hearing these two new songs live gave me the desire to buy the new album. One of the new songs called “Boys” was about their sons (they all have little boys). Having two boys myself this song almost brought tears to my eyes. After they played this song the crowd was dead silent. It moved them as well. Mark and Will from Audio Adrenaline hit the stage with their new concept “Audio Talks”. I only caught the very end of their performance which included a few Audio Adrenaline hits and an inspirational story of God's power. I rounded up my night watching my old buddies in Pillar rock. It was the first time that "I" got to watch Pillar play. They blasted through the hits and dropped a cover of "Shine" that is going to be on their new album. Rob has a gift of commanding the crowd and got all their fists in the air. On my way to back to my stateroom I stopped by a lounge to watch an artist jam session taking place. Members of various bands were straight up jamming. I don't know who most of them were, but they were tight. To bed!

Peace, Kalel
