Its all an illusion!

In a matter of days we will all be chilling on a big boat and eating great food! I fly out from Tulsa, OK to Orlando this Sunday. We all know there is going to be great music on the Music Boat, but don't forget the illusionist on board. He might even make the boat disappear! While I make lots of food disappear! I want to introduce you to Brock Gill. See you all on Monday!  -Kalel

Hello Brock! Thanks for taking time to do this interview. What have you been up to lately?

Lately I have been touring heavily. When I am off i get to come home and rest. And by rest I mean train for a marathon. I actually trained with my wife to run the country music marathon in Nashville. I ended up running the half marathon due to an injury that slowed me down, but auny ran the full marathon.

What inspired you to become a powerful illusionist? What illusionists have inspired you?

I was inspired to become an illusionist when I was 22 years old. I was working in a sawmill. After a few months of hard work wearing a blue collar I realized it was time to ask God what I should do with my life. I soon began to practice and study. Later I quit my job and began to perform. I have been inspired by Penn and Teller, Jeff Mcbride, John Calvert.

Can you guess which card is in my right hand?

You are holding an eleven of spades.

Are you excited about the upcoming Music Boat 2009? What are you most looking forward to? My favorite is the all you can eat food 24/7!

I am stoked to be on the Music Boat. To be honest I am looking forward to the late night fishing. I usually bring a fishing pole and drop a line off the side of the boat. If I have a balcony room I can get some good fishing in before I go to bed each night. Last year I caught a sea bass. This year I am hoping to catch a whale. If any of you want to join me just let me know. We will have a fishing party at my room. I will bring an extra fishing pole just for you!

What advice do you have for aspiring musicians/illusionist hoping to make a career of it?

My advice is simple, listen to the whispers of God. Sounds simple and maybe cliche, but it is the only thing that matters. It is the true key to success.

Have you been on a cruise before? Have you been on a Premier Christian Cruise before? What is so special about a Premier Christian Cruise versus regular cruises or vacations?

I have been on many Premier Christian Cruise. The great thing about Premier is that we have an agreement. The agreement is this: I will come on the cruise and do shows, and in return they arrange for me to drive the boat for a few hours each morning. Last year I drove the boat to the wrong country. I didn't see the sign and missed my turn. Anyway, the people were kind of upset but they got over it. This year I will be more careful.

Can you make Bart from Mercy Me disappear?

Bart's wife asked me the same thing.

What excursions are you and your family planning on hitting when in Nassau? Swimming with the dolphins maybe?

I'm not sure what excursions I will do. Last year I lead my own excursion. It was a hiking tour. I may do that again. If you want to go then come and see me. It will be $20 per person, payable to me. And I will show you how to put out your thumb and hike. Some call it hitch hiking, but I found that more people prefer to sign up when I call it hiking. The trip is full of adventure.

Do you have any advice for those who have never been on a cruise before?

advice. dont try to dive into the water while the ship is still moving. they frown upon that sort of thing. and trust me, it hurts.

Thanks so much for your time. See you on the big boat!   -Kalel
