So where are we going again?
Hello everybody! I hope you've been having an awesome week so far! I just left home to start a Midwest tour with my band Stars Go Dim. Please pray for safe travels. As I've mentioned before The Music Boat 2009 will be my first cruise. So where are we all going again...CocoCay and Nassau in the Bahamas? Like me, some of you may have no idea where that is so I did a little research to educate us all.
The Music Boat is first going to make a 10 hour stop on May 5th (8:00 AM-5:00 PM) at CocoCay Island. In general we are about 125 miles southeast of Miami, FL. This is going to be our private island for the day. CocoCay is supposed to be like the islands we dream about- white sand, bright blue water, and waving palm trees. Although only 140-acres, there is plenty to do on the island including: swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, parasailing, paddle boating, scuba diving, and wave runner piloting. They also have glass bottom boat rides, plenty of nature trails, and a hammock on the beach with your name on it. And for the kids there is a floating playground and a track for riding Power Wheels. It doesn't seem like this is the place for shopping and eating, but I hear there are several bars on the islands and a few places to buy native crafts. Where are we off to next?
The next morning (May 6th) The Music Boat will be stopping at Nassau, Bahamas for the day (7:00 AM-11:59 PM). Nassau is the capital and largest city in the Bahamas. Its about 55 miles south of CocoCay Island and 180 Miles southeast of Miami, FL. Sounds like the daytime temperatures are going to be in the 65-80 degrees Fahrenheit range. Definitely better than my Oklahoma weather! Nassau was the location for several James Bond films including Thunderball and the more recent Casino Royale. I was told by a friend to visit the world famous Atlantis resort. There is plenty of shopping and tons to do.

In a future blog I will point out some of the best shopping and what there is to do at Nassau. My wife will want to know and maybe some of you? Next up I had a chance to catch up with my old buddy Will McGuinniss of Audio Adrenaline and the new Audio Talks. He was kind enough to do an exclusive interview just for The Music Boat Blog.
Peace! -Kalel
